Editorial decisions at JMIDH are made solely by the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial team on the basis of scientific merit, reproducibility, relevance and ethics. Corvus Medical Press, its owners and staff do not influence the acceptance or rejection of any manuscript. Technology companies, software vendors, funders, sponsors, advertisers and government bodies have no influence over editorial decisions or content. Because JMIDH charges no fees, no financial relationship exists between authors and the journal.

The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over editorial content and the timing of publication, consistent with the WAME policy on editorial independence. Published content is changed only through the Corrections and Retractions policy. Where commercial and editorial interests conflict, editorial integrity takes precedence.
