Before peer review: Withdrawal allowed on written request from the corresponding author, confirmed by all authors.

During peer review or revision: Allowed with a written reason. Repeated withdrawals after review may be noted.

After acceptance: Allowed only for serious reasons (e.g., an error discovered by the authors), with Editor-in-Chief approval.

After online publication (in-press or final): Not possible; the article can only be corrected or retracted under the Corrections & Retractions policy.

No withdrawal fee is charged at any stage. Authors must not submit the manuscript elsewhere until JMIDH confirms the withdrawal in writing.
